Mop farming.

i build 3 types of farmes.
Slime farm, poision farm and larva farm, but the only the poision farm works.
i build all the same size.

can someone help me pls.

Larva only spawn in darkness.

If the slime farm and the poison slime farm are the same size and layout then they should both work. You probably just need to give it time. The larva farm can have the whole floor covered with its spawn stuff. Light has no effect on monster spawns so you can put all the torches in there you want. Perhaps your rooms are too small?

I believe you need the hive ground for the spawn to work. The slime might need more area or time

I put all 3 in 1 simi big room 20x12
( surrounded by the Lava hive wall, a Stone wall and spike trap around the door so they can't break the door. )
Randomly place the slim and Chrysails on the ground. It spawn ( all 3 kind ) but not a lot at once and they either kill each other or step on the spike and die.

this is how i did it.
i think i was 30-40 min. away from the base but there was 1 seed and 2 slime or something....

it works but not really well.

do you think i build it to small?

Maybe too many spike trap so they didn't have enough time to spawn? I put a lot of spike in the beginning too, then I only like get 1 slime spawning, So I took them away and just left those near the door. idk, might be the case.

Does anyone know the best spawn rates for slimes? Is it simply the more ground slime the better or should gaps be placed strategically to break the area up into clumps?
