Fast travel options?
Are there any magic mirrors, teleportation pads or anything of the sort in the game? Planned?

The map is really big and I am finding myself spending a ton of time walking back and forth from my base.

There are Recall Idol's that you can make/find, they teleport you back to the core. You unlock them after defeating Ghorm. There's also rails and carts to make travel faster.
