Easter Egg Hunt

So, we have an Easter egg hunt till the 19th. Your probably wondering how to go about finding these eggs. Are they in the walls? Special chambers? Boss drops?

The answer: monster drops and their respective caches. Specifically each of the four eggs can be found within each major monster types.

Brown Eggs: Spiked Slimes and large slime mounds
Rose Eggs: Large Grubs and large grub pods
Grey Eggs: Troll Cavelings/ infected cavelings and large caveling chests
Green Eggs: Infected Cavelings and Spore Whips

It should be noted that they don't drop eggs every time so you need to kill a few the collect enough. I hope this helps.

Thats about it , but for anyone far into the game , its just clearing your farm like you would do and takes 30mins to gather them all !

Additionally the eggs have other ways to drop
Brown Eggs: crates that are randomly
Rose Eggs: the blood flower things and i think also the veins in hives

Can I ask how to craft the golden egg?
I have collected all four types of eggs with sufficient number.

Right click to use any of them in your inventory, and they'll combine into the golden egg if you have five of each. I don't know what you do with it after that though.

You use the golden egg the same way you would use the item that starts the Azeos fight.

Also, Poison Slimes can drop the green eggs. Where you kill them doesn't matter either. I had several waiting for me when I checked my purple slime farm outside my base. And more again later. I never set up an Orange Slime farm or a Grub farm, but I'd imagine it would be the same with them. Its the gray eggs that are the hardest to find and the most annoying to get.

actually the gray eggs aren't that hard. The infected caveling in the mold area drops them

The infected cavelings dropped green eggs for me. I think it is by mob home region.

Brown = Dirt (most slimes)
Rose = Hive/Clay (larva)
Grey = Stone (cavelings)
Green = Jungle/Mold (infected/jungle cavelings, poison slimes)

What's this "other uses" Plural?

I mean, it's big and shiny, so it lets you summon that boss...

but that's ONE other use.

Anyone know if using the Golden Egg in the Azeos area summons his fight? If so, does the egg get consumed, and are the boss drops 'unique' for this short time when summoned this way?

Also, found Green eggs breaking the plant seed orbs in Wilderness, all those yellow seed-bearing plant orbs can drop 'em

The gray eggs can drop from the mold areas!? This changes everything! Farm ALL the gray eggs!

Yes using Golden Egg in the Azeos area starts his fight. The egg is consumed in the process. Yes the boss drops are unique as the summoned Azeos is different than the regular one. I got Radical Rabbit Ears, Ostara Ring, and Eostre Necklace that work as a set. I also got Azeo Beak Necklace and a figurine of him. I may have gotten some small miscellaneous items as well such as some gemstones or feathers that can be found anywhere as well.

Well, the items the golden egg version gives out can be quite useful to dodge builds, movement speed builds, or gardening builds. Moving faster is always nicer. You can finally max out extra harvest chance at 100% with the new accessory too. but it's a shame you can't go above 100%.

Mold enemies can give green eggs. Poison slimes can as well. Caveling Farmers and Caveling snipers can too.

The yellow flowers that you can break are a good source of them as well. A poison slime farm is a good way to get some. You can set one up right next to your base if you want so you don't have to go all the way out to the wilderness.
