If you're rushing yourself then you can jump between bosses in a few hours and call it a day, but you'd be underleveled/powered and would be missing out on the experience this game offers.
If you take your time, mine for ores, build up a base, and farm for good food combinations, then easily between 20-50 hours of gameplay, not counting any replayability with friends or expanding out your base for cosmetic purposes.
It's basically a mix of Terraria, Stardew Valley, and Factorio (for the automation and mining drills you can set up).
Plus, like Terraria, you can use multiple characters/worlds and interchange between them, since your character is saved separatedly, so you can play with friends or trade between people and then hop back into your own world.
Also for the price of this game it's well worth it. Plus the updates are released frequently with a clear roadmap ahead.
if you only wanna kill the bosses you are fast maybe 15 - 20 hours if you want to get achivments etc. you need to play 80 hours more i think.
When you want to build something ( Sandbox ) you can have fun and farm hours.
I wish you a lot of fun with this game, if you want to get it.
Make sure your PC isnt to bad, cuz this game need some power <- i dont know why.
i think its totally worth 20 dollars.
