Miner's Protective Helm drop rates are too low

More of a rant, but some of the drop chances for items found by fishing are really just too low.

I just mentioned the Miner's Protective Helm specifically, because that is the one that has me frustrated atm, because after fishing in lava 2000 times now, while using glowing bait, I still didn't get a single one...

Really hope that the devs introduce some way to make those chances a bit higher or just flat out give better chances.

At this point it's easier to get every legendary in the game than a stupid mining helmet, unless you are insanely lucky.

You're better off looking for the smoldering chests in the lava zones than trying to fish it up. I have never found one from fishing(and I fish up a lot of lava fish for my life-on-hit build), yet have found 2 from chests.

farmed a couple of mining helms and it actually didnt take very long. You should be wearing the dive helmet, kelp mantle, scuba fins, neptune necklace, goldfish ring and the sea foam ring. You should also be using the best fishing rod you can at whatever stage of the game youre on (from memory it effects the rare drops you can get in the specific biome youre fishing in. You might want to look this up)

You could use the auto fishing mod. You'll wake up with at least 7 helms.

Try picking up a couple of lucky rings from the vending machines and use bait that prioritizes loot instead of fish. Having a higher fish chance will hurt your loot chance. I probably fished up 300 items before I did this and got a helmet in 2 minutes flat afterwards.

Already had searched through all the Molten Quarry biomes in my world, before I started to only fish lava, but I guess I could've looked through another world :')

I used the whole fishing set + a solarite fishing rod, so I don't think that was the problem. Pretty sure fishing only affects how fast you fish and not how lucky you are anyways.

I used the glowing bait, but completely forgot about the lucky rings, thx for the reminder :')

Aye, that's what I ended up doing, because after 3000 tries myself, I couldn't be bothered anymore.
I actually feel like an idiot that I didn't look for a auto fishing mod sooner...
