Waiting for bosses to respawn is pointless tedium
There's really no good, justifiable reason for why bosses have a cooldown time. At least, not... what, 15 minutes for some of them? I know perhaps it's not fair to compare this to a much more developed, popular game, but Terraria lets you summon events/bosses immediately after one another so long as you have the summons.

Just wish summoning bosses was easier. The ones you place an idol down to summon (Malguz, slimes, etc) spawn instantly and one right after another, why not the rest? Why bother with this whole, "boss needs to be nearby" too? Just have it come to me wherever I am, as long as I'm in the right biome.

Having to be in range/wait for bosses to respawn is so arbitrarily tedious and adds nothing but frustration. How was this decision ever settled upon?

There's a mod which changes that

It prevents those encounters from becoming so very mundane when farming them.

I would agree that for bosses that require elaborate summoning materials, those may need to be tweaked a bit - The player is paying a substantial cost, already, to be able to "farm" them.

But, for design, putting a respawn timer on them does help to increase the value of the encounter, whether or not you may find it frustrating. :)

If you're farming them that easily and that quickly, it's probably time to move on, anyway. Otherwise, you could easily occupy that time doing other things in that biome/zone. So, considering that point... it's really not that terrible.

Farm bosses on rotation.

There are several bosses you can re-spawn immediately, the 'progression' bosses are the only ones locked behind a timer (except the last boss).

I summon bosses multiple in a row.

nah it does the opposite, killing azeos in 90 seconds, to then wait 6 minutes, is super mundane, and it's even more annoying for the hydra's, it takes so long to farm them it's agonizing
and you don't "move on" from bosses, many bosses have important drops, for example, if I want an azeos dash feather, I have to farm azeos, and late game, the fight is 10-15 seconds, waiting 6 min between fights is a slog

Pretty much my thoughts on it. If I wanted to take a break to do something else, I would. If bosses could be respawned instantly, it wouldn't change anything. I just sit around and wait or do something else while they respawn. It's boring.

I'm all for giving the player more choice and control over how they play. If a player wants to do nothing but grind bosses all the time, the game should let them.

And to bring up a point I think is crucial here again - you already can repeatedly spawn some bosses over and over again. I just don't get why you can do that for SOME bosses but not all of them. Why the difference?

You want agonizing? I wanted Omoroths armor set. More than 30 summons later, still missing the helm. I finally got the helm.... and sold it with the rest of the garbage. Had to get it again......

haven't had that happen to me yet, but I've done it in other games, so I'm super paranoid of it while playing Core Keeper lol
