steamdeck controls
i would immensely appreciate if the controls would not be held hostage on the steamdeck and it would be recognized, that it has a trackpad mouse on the controller.

if you have the option of a mouse, would you enjoy using a d-pad for moving inventory stuff around? almpst always i just ignore controller support in games and use my own more precise and more versatile control setup for games. the deck has the same keybind flexibility as a keyboard & mouse as a controller.

if you want one example how you implement controls for the deck as a game developer, look at the game necesse, but i would be happy if my deck would not be dumbed down to the same limitations as a console controller. let me at the very least make my own control setup please, if it is not recognized that the deck and steam input handles more like a pc then a less precise and limited controller.

another example how seamless and amazing the steamdeck controls are used is factorio on the steamdeck.

just to reiterate - as a gaming input device, the steamdeck has as many buttons around your hands as you have using a keyboard and it has near the same precision and convenience as a mouse, i would just simply not expect to be at the top of competitiveness in fps games, but this is not even a question with core keeper.
its frustrating to see this unutilized with most games where a mouse is turned into a d-pad movable cursor due to the limitations of inferior console gaming input devices.
