best way to level magic?
i start as magician, and leveling everything faster than magic, wtf? :D
how exp works? i think its about damage that deal, but wiki says its about "1 hit = 1 exp"
so i should use basic staf and farm fat mobs? like big shoom?
find some farm where big shroom was jailed and cant charge, so i going hit him with 1 dmg and i will receive same exp, when i hit boss with 20k crit?

correct, its the skyrim smithing problem where there was no reason to make anything other than iron daggers until you maxed the skill.

since for the most part 1 hit is 1 xp, you try to group as many dudes together and hit as fast as possible.

There is a fast firing staff that can drop from ghorm and malugaz that has a base 3.33 fire rate.

Get a stone shroom stuck in a corner, like dig hole around him. So no matter how strong you are, you'll do 1 damage.

Then arcane staff have the highest firerate so use this one. Finally focus on crit chance and get the mana regen on crit hit so you can forever cast the spells.

It has +500 hp so just break your arcane staff then wait for it to recover hp before beating again.

One of the skills you picked up. Reset your skill tree and unequip any gear that affects crit damage.

1. Dig out a trench all the way around hive mother as close as the game will allow you to dig before you hit the protected area. Leave one side of the trench open on the left or right of the boss.
2. Surround the outside of the trench with a strong wall type like dungeon maze.
3. Hit the boss until they start using their acid lob attack on you, retreat just far enough away that the boss is still on your screen but can't target you with its acid blob any more.
4. Finish the trench at the boss's maximum range, make this gap 2 blocks wide instead of 1 (some add mobs can be squeezed across single block gaps, 2 blocks wide prevents this)
5. Damage hive mother to the enrage/scream point so that the enemy add spawns increase.
6. Sit back and pew pew the unlimited mob spawns that rush towards you while you're safely tucked away on the other side of the trench.

It helps to put a repair station and chest down beside your trench with the necessary crafting components to repair your staff without having to teleport back to your base.
It also helps to put down conveyor belts in the hive mother arena to pull idle mobs towards your mob killing zone.

thx, i do few twinks for their stafs, but malugaz looks better, anyway its all about mana, not fire rait, but it cost lower so its better

Hmm.... If were to pick on monster for training for magic it won't be much difference from me just farming loot drop from monster. I usually make a lot of area that have their own type of monster spawn.

For some reason hive monster that spawn from Chrysalis. For some reason it often spawn a lot of monster from one egg. But really. I just using these hive monster for farming gears/seed/meat.

The reason I went with hive instead of mushroom farming is because I could stick a paperweight on my mouse button and sit afk watching videos and not worry about killing the mushroom guy or waiting for his HP to regen.
