How to Find Scarlet Ore/Bars?

So, I managed to kill the first three bosses and reached the desert. Explored a little bit and found a labyrinth with a lot of chests with Galaxite Ore and Galaxite Bar inside, but I can't do ♥♥♥♥ with it since it's too advance. To be honest, the way my friend and I reached the desert was using a bazooka (I don't know the name) to break the blocks, we could hit 31 times with the upgraded Iron Pickaxe or with this bazooka 4 times... I feel we skipped something because there's no Scarlet Ore/Bar in this desert, but I managed to find the one after Scarlet (the one between Scarlet and Galaxite), I know that because the second smelter allows me to melt this ore after the Scarlet one, and I have nothing to work with the Galaxite.

So... I believe we skipped progress... How to find Scarlet Ore/Bar?

Did you talk to the Core? It tells you the direction for the next boss. Scarlet ore is in that biome.

I talked to the core, I opened the wall, and went to the desert.
So, the next step is actually in other direction?

talk to the core once more, should tell you a direction, like already said, otherwise just dig into the other direction, you maybe find it there, 50/50 chance :D

There are three biomes I believe in the next ring.. you are looking for the green forest looking one.. there is also a underwater coral/beach one and the desert one you already found.
