I've put 64 hours into this game and I've had a lot of fun with it. But this has really turned me off from the game in searching for them. Spent 2 - 3 days trying to get enough for 1 thumper and was killed in the boss fight by those stupid diamonds (I dont do spoilers before hand so it caught me offguard). Now I just dont have the motivation to spend another 2 days trying to get enough for another attempt. I was curious so I looked up the drop rates and its like .02% mining and 2% for killing a bug. Oof. I dont remember the material for the other bosses being that obnoxiously hard to get.

Wingcovers are used for the locator, not the boss summon item. You only need to find them once.

ah your right. I got confused and discouraged and went to thump on the fire slime for a few hours to drown my pain and got the ingredients mixed up. :) Thanks.
