It is no longer Infinite as far i understand it, but it is really big. I am in my first game with 45h played and i did not found any restricting border yet. There is a great wall restricting the starting area but you can and need to destroy it.

It's a big world but you can reach the max border after ~10 hours or so. even then you'd be hard pressed to have actually cleared out the fog of war on your map

someone at the other discussion pointed out they reached 15000 at a classic world, you rounded that up to 20000 and misread it for 1.0 worlds
