Trouble finding boulders

I have been digging around my map all over looking for boulders. I found 1 copper one. Other people that I watched play seemed to find them pretty easily once they got their good pick and could dig around faster. I have ran around Ghorms track looking like I saw in a tips vid. It is like my world doesn't have them lol. Any tips for finding them easier? Ive dug out quite a bit of my tin close to my base. So it would be nice to get automation going.

I get the feeling, that boulders do not spawn close to the core, because my first boulder was close to Ghorms track, the others even further away (even copper).
But this also could just be my luck ^.^

You just have to search for them.

They spawn close to the core, in fact my gf and I found one 65 blocks away from the core.

ive not gone much past ghorms track yet. but i have tunneled pretty well within it. i might have to just do a close grid pattern when i get on next lol.

i hate my life ^.^ Just for fun i started a new world, and right above my core, not even 40 fields away is a big copper boulder.

But Tine, oh boi, oh boi... I've found 1, while copper and iron and gold i've found 1 after 1.

I am just going to grid dig out my place lol. i found 1 iron while doing that last night. sounds like ill probably have the whole thing gridded out before i find a tin LOL

Not sure, what the exact amount is, but its more than 1200 ores. Because i forgot about one iron boulder and when i checked it again, it had collected 1200 ores again. And it ran already for a while, so i guess ~1500 units.
