I done goofed, question about a waypoint.
Okay, so I didn't know you couldn't locate bosses. I've already beaten the second boss, but I can't find the waypoint. Where does it normally spawn, inside or outside the circle? I'm sure it could be in any cardinal direction. Any tips would be appreciated.

If you do want to find his spawn point for fighting him again, as someone else said, the easiest way is to just run around the ring until you find a branching path, the spawn point will be very close to where the path splits.
The easier and cheaper way to fight Ghorm again is to just make a new world for each fight though. Dig 190-210 blocks in any direction from the core and if his path isn't there yet then he'll come to you soon :P

Not all bosses have a waypoint. Bosses that move around the map, have no waypoint near their summon altar. That being said, you can create a new world, explore around and take the waypoints and bring it to your main world and use it. Yes, you can relocate waypoints. It takes 10 minutes to recharge, before you can use them again.

Thanks for this information, i was getting irritated at the slime boss waypoint 50 blocks from my home

idk there clearly seems to be a language barrier here. 1.0 added the Ancient Waypoint near boss spawns which works like a teleporter, that is what OP is looking for, not the scanner.
