Yep, there is a whole new world generation that is required for the new stuff, as well as anything additional that they add in the future

Hey sorry, i need a new world to find all the new bosses? cuz i crafted all the radar to find them, but idk for the endgame boss the core commander, i need to find a crystal for it, and idk if i can find it

If you created your world prior to Aug 22nd before the 0.9.9.9 update released, your world should be labeled as Classic when selecting it from your world list. If your world has this label, you need to create a new world. Otherwise, you have the most up-to-date world.

Nearly maxed my character's stats last year,
With the new update, I made a new world, and turned off crossplay (had blackcreen and crash issues before getting that advice) but game is still super laggy when I play...
Do I have to abandon all my hard work on that character?

yep ive seen the message 'classic", ive started a new world after, with my already existing mid character of my other game.
