at 70 kills, that means you have a 49% chance to have not gotten the drop by now, and a 51% to have gotten it, so nearly 50/50.
even when you hit the drop rate with 100 kills, you will only have a 63% chance to have gotten the drop by then.
it's probably not worth it to farm ghorm for the drop, just explore for the guaranteed amber larva spawn in the dirt biome.
if you need 2 of them for multiplayer then you'll need a second world to get an extra paradise fruit too or whatever that one was called
atleast the larva has other means of getting it. for the other 2 youre fully out of luck. no idea why devs decided these should be rng spawns when they provide 2 of the 9 perma hp buffs.
Which is sad because this was a problem with the Giant mushroom, not to the same extent, but was fully addressed by allowing it to drop from a mob. They acknowledged a problem and fixed it, only to do the same thing for other items anyway.

Just mine straight south from the core, the amber scene will be off to the east shortly after you pass ghorms path.
Thank you so much. Spent the entire day yesterday looking for one in two separate worlds.
