opening fog map

Hello everyone, are there any options on how to open the whole map at once or at least increase the opening radius? I'm looking for a temple with a blade, I've spent several hours already, I'm tired of searching

By the time you find it, you could have better things. If your finding it just for collection reasons then, you can find it later after exploring as your playing the rest of the game.

it would be easier to have someone give you a seed with the location of a blade.

What's it with people playing a game about exploring and being tired of exploring? If you want the blade right now so much, in the "mods" session you have "all item worlds" savefiles you can download. You will have every item in the game, neatly sorted in dozens chests. Go there, pick what you want, and delete the save.

Upgrade your lantern until you have +8 Glow (all lanterns can be upgraded to have the same amount of light and +8 seems to be the limit right now even if you keep upgrading). Get a good drill or similar (maybe sledge hammer if that's what you're into) and dig lots of straights lines horizontally and vertically intersecting. You could also try using Hand Mortar (upgraded as needed) to blow up things in your path. That's often faster than mining. Some items like the Topaz Ring and Rusted Necklace can boost your Mining Damage a lot and speed up mining. I believe both are obtainable in The Sunken Sea.
I came across one of the places with the Chipped Blade by accident. I think there are supposed to be 3 per map and I haven't found the others after playing for 150 hours or so.
I will agree mostly with the first response to this thread, the sword isn't all that great. I'm glad I got it for the achievement and completionism, but it's outclassed as a Melee weapon by Stormbringer (Legendary drill, which is actually a bit easier to obtain, but is very late game).
