Finding bosses is a pain
I am running into an issue where I feel like I am aimlessly wandering cause I can not find the bosses without the scanners. Why not use the scanners? I literally can't.

The scanners take way too many materials, especially the titan ones. By the time I have enough feathers/seashells/scarab wingcovers I will have already spent hours wandering in the biome aimlessly. Please reduce the amount of materials it costs to make the scanners as it can take ages to get some of them.

Grinding itself in this game becomes boring quickly and we can't really do anything with it. Compared to terraria, sure terraria is a grindfest too and probably much more grindy then CK, however many of theses can be resolved by building arena and let minions, which won't disappear after 1 mins later, do the work for us, which is what Core keeper lacking now.
There's zero reason why droprates for certain things should be sub 1%. Especially when the only way to get them is from locked chests hidden in walls or from farming wood.

This ain't an MMO, devs.
well... you can always trade other players for scanners
much like terraria

tho honestly i didnt need this 1st titan... i got side tracked went for strormbringer

as for the drop rates... yea some are crazy low but... terraria had this as well...
and once more you can trade other players....

i miss my days of terraria trading... so long ago... on console for the pets before they removed the pets from game due to them being to much like summons

Difference is, stuff to progress isn't relegated to this loot % in Terraria. You can get by even on Master Mode with either stuff you can make with ores or other armor sets you can find if you kill a dozen or so monsters. Not kill hundreds of monsters for a single piece or whatever.
guys stop playing the game on normal and load the game on extreme, some of these ppl commenting dont play on low or normal where spawn rates are low, also hard mode drops more items

I play on hard mode, and all I get are inventories full of crap items.
Tbh some grind is totally okay. It's just that the scanner grind for a couple bosses feels a tad too much.

The inventory issue is a whole different issue altogether, but I agree that it needs some fixes as well. Too many seed drops, too many valuable drops.

im confused at what you mean....
so far from playing core keeper multiple items have multiple sources
resource wise i have never had a issue

boss arena wise yea it can be tricky to find some but honestly resource for boss scanners
is somewhat fair in sense that the expensive ones are more less static boss arenas that dont move... so you only need to find them once and they tend to stand out on maps unless you change them (paired with also tending to have a teleport structure near them unless destroyed by world gen)

and terraria had killing 100s if not 1000s of mobs for a single item
and extremely rare mobs that drop said items at very low % to craft a item for a achievement

tho didnt have so many dependent structures you had find i mean enchanted sword shrines only one that comes to mind...

difference being terraria people figured out mechanics were to be for said mob spawns to get rare items (that and people have access to all item maps... on steam at least...)

i mean finding structures randomly is just more less part of core keeper
while sometimes more of pain point stands player trading exist
and rare items are more less same as terraria if not more generous in a ton of cases
for ones you actually need

Could be just the armor set I was looking for. Who knows.

This seems like it's an intentional design by the devs to get people to explore the biomes more, which I can understand why since most people probably just blitz through things too fast.

Honestly, I agree with this too. I feel like having an incentive to explore the biomes is good, I just think they missed the mark a bit on how long we have to explore. I can imagine the devs don't want you to instantly find the boss and basically skip the biome.

Holy crap the condescension.

Calm yourself buddy. Its just a game.
I am not being condescending, dude. I am telling you that maybe the way you are trying to play does not suit either you or the game. Try something else. Try doing things differently. If I managed to get to shimmering frontier using Chieftain gear, it's doable. Sometimes, it simply cannot be done. You have to play by what the game's rules are, not what you wish them to be.

There are all item maps on Core Keeper, too.

Don't be lazy, go get the items while at the same time you're exploring.
I've had no issues until trying to get 40 of the red scarab shells for Ra Akar... that is time consuming.
Agree with the general sentiment of this post. This game takes itself a bit too seriously, assuming that every single player wants to explore every square inch of its map. For the rest of us who are not necessarily on the spectrum, it becomes a huge pain staying engaged enough to want to farm 40 scarab wings just to know where one boss is.
One thing is find them, and quite another survive them.

Dont be impatient, this game requires exploration and preparation. If you want to run fast you will be too frustrated.
