Has anyone based in The Passage?

Finished the basegame final boss and I wanted to just go and make a huge base possibly in the passage, but I dont know if those worm creatures are just going to start spawning and invading my place. has anyone gone and tried living out there? is it possible?

did anyone find a option to block the spawns out? otherwise that wont work ;D

I brought floor form the passage and currently building my base at the core (as usual). I tried doing it in the passage but sometimes mobs ignored the pits I created. Don't know if the bug fix fixed that, though.

The worms in the passage ignore pits. Its not a bug that is just how they are.

tried that, mob's too strong and fast they got past 3 line of galaxite turrets, the problem is that they passively throw bombs while they're moving, and they move fast and ignores obstacles, so they can just charge through and still destroys the turrets, even if you get 1 or 2 of them, more will swarm you periodically

Have you tried to build a base near the outer wall?

Boss and mobs seem to be mostly in the middle of the Passage, so I would try either near the outer wall or near the Shimmering Frontier.

see that green dot around the left side? once they started spawning, they could chase you up to shimmering frontier if they want, so, your base is just not safe near the passage, you could try make one in shimmering frontier near passage, but you definitely going to need to clean the mobs before going back to that base
