Trying to find a good Subterrier right now for my Warlock so I can abuse that stun chance, though.
It doesn't matter what pet you use cuz they all play exactly the same. Their bonuses aren't enough to make an interesting build around and some of them don't even work with your build.
Like how the fox overrides your burn of 100+ so it ticks for not even 30 damage instead.
I think pets are one of the systems in the game that were not explored at all. Had huge potential and I was looking forward to opening every egg I found just to find out they do nothing and change nothing.
Unlucky.
When Embertail is facing up - it looks like a jacked little cat dude with naked torso.
You are welcome
Combat pets are kind of weak atm as they cap out way too soon. Not really worth using post-wilderness over a support pet, even with the pet armor set.
I always drop my combat pet somewhere in-between malugaz and azeos. Only a support pet like owlux is good in the long term. Which is unfortunate.
I dunno I still find the difference of having that last 15% or not noticable. RNG builds can really snowball at better odds. For me the main point of consideration when picking a skill is that I could max out at like 101% before so I could reasonably drop the crit% owlux for crit dmg or triple dmg, but now I need the owlux just to get to 85%. All of this provided I don't use crit chance armor (I tend to default to scarab set to amp up the crits).
That said the triple damage is very good as well. This is just personal preference on my part, on a very specific build.
With my numbers if I switched crit% for triple dmg I would have a 1 in 14.2 chance of getting both a crit and triple damage proc at the same time, as a regular proc would just be like a normal crit for me (around +300% crit dmg). So I prefer to just tip the scales even more towards getting the longest strings of crits that I can.
During my mid-game progression it also helps support the scarlet set, as the bonuses from individual pieces of gear are still smaller. This lets me get to an acceptable baseline for my crit build sooner and just make a B-line right towards my end-game setup.
Also had a 4 movement speed owlux to help raise my run.
I do like Embertails and their combo of burning Anger and Flaming Treat.
