Looking at picking this up, a question first.

Is there a story in this game?
Or is it like terraria where this no actual story just a thread posted somewhere telling us what the story might have been?
Or dark souls where there is no direct story but a story sprinkled through the games environment and items?

There is intro that starts your personal story - I can give you some spoilers, but I haven't played further than beginning ares yet, so that won't be much - and devs were talking on adding more, I don't know if 1.0 already adds it or it is for future plans; there is also a lot of environmental storytelling about the world.

Game looks neat but also the type that if you're not into doing something just for the sake of doing something you will get bored fast.

By that I mean if you don't care at all about "decorations" then a lot of the content is pointless.

There's a central questgiver who provides some plot-related justification for seeking out most of the bosses, but mostly the story is just "you fell into a very deep cave and now you need to find a way out."

Ahh, probably a little to lite for me then, I won't be playing with other people and I don't care for decorating stuff.
