The boss is horrible for other reasons. He could be anywhere as he doesn't have a fixed spawn. He's on water so he needs a boat for the fight. Boat is stupid expensive, gated by mechanical parts (same as literally everything at endgame, doesn't matter how well your world is set up, they artificially time gate you by mechanical parts from the merchant). Needing to build extra boats to pick up your corpse in the middle of some open water is nuts.
Also don't get me started on the costs of summoning him. Burned over 11k coins like nothing. Worst part? There are no guarantees here, he's probably gonna 1 shot me out of nowhere again.
So yea, absolutely hate this one. I get that you had fun, multiplayer is easier.
The boss imo just felt lacking. Compared to other bosses this boss just didnt have enough attacks or unique stuff. Now i do have to point out that i am a sucker for unique stuff in any game and that might be because of that. And it should also have a fixed spawn at least somewhere in the world because its pretty annoying to just craft navigators everytime you want to fight it. But if you are lucky you can just fight it without the navigators.
Yeah the boss was fun tho.
What is your spec/food/pet/weapon(s)/armor? As long as you don't get caught in his body where you just take a string of hits at once he shouldn't be too much trouble. Bumping into him doesn't do that much damage and certainly shouldn't one-shot a player with end-game gear and food. Get stuck inside him and it's a death sentence, for sure he's pulling some sans ♥♥♥♥ there (
I dunno I personally feel like malugaz and omoroth are the only bosses properly tuned for when you're supposed to fight them. Though for the pre-titan bosses it makes sense as they are meant to ease you into the game by getting progressively more complex and threatening until hitting a sort of sweet spot with malugaz. But then it drops off again once you reach the titans. Azeos, ra-akar, and atlantean worm all need to be rebalanced I think, as do many armor sets.
Tbf it's still quite mild for hard mode. Just 2x damage and 1.5x health compared to normal. Those stats are respectable but perhaps they should make that the normal mode version of the boss. And then tune the bosses individually for hard mode instead of using multipliers.
