Is there way to dig multiple tiles at once?

I can use a high quality hoe to hoe a 5x5 area, and I can use a bomb to clear a decent area of walls. Is there any mechanic, tool, etc to dig up a large area faster than one tile at a time?

i used the shovel mod (its called placemnt plus) just saves me loads of time (you can get it on thunderstore mod software (can be found online). saved me proably like 100+ hours in game

If you ever find a sledgehammer they can mine in a 2x3 area in front of you. Slower than a pickaxe of the equivalent tier but not by much.

tbh the best option for wall mining is the launcher that can be obtained from igneuos/lava chests, as it can break all the way up to stone instantly for just mining in the first 3 biomes (dirt, stone, clay), when you want to mine large areas in later biomes, yea probably the galaxite sledgehammer.

He is talking about DIGGING, I understood about Shovel. He isnt talking about walls.

Ah I hope that they add faster ground digging soon- something like the hoe would be good but obviously for the shovel

there is a mod in the mod section called placement plus it allows for digging large swathes of ground material, placing large quantities of seeds etc, and overall is a great mod, however the creator has not updated it to 1.0.0.2, the creator is limoka8, he is active on the corekeeper discord he has informed me, not enough people have stated they are waiting on it, so he has not given it much thought to updating, so no ETA, I reccomend letting him know you are interested in it, and anyone else who is to find him and message him there so he knows it is an appreciated mod he has made a lot of good mods, including all the corelibs etc etc etc

as someone whos played hundreds of hours, it honestly just becomes a QoL for terraforming and farming later game when they scale to larger sizes
