Painting armor
I have found armor to be frustrating in every game that includes it. Especially when the characters are customizable. Then, I spend however long designing my little person, and then have to cover everything but the eyes to progress the game. Plus, it gets a little confusing when multiple people in a multiplayer session have the same level of armor. Both of these problems would be much less irritating with the optional ability to color each piece of armor while it's in your armor slot. Plus, you could add another kind of paintbrush in the paintbrush bench, which would work the way the repair button does in the salvage and repair station. And then, much like placed objects, once they are removed, the color would reset. I just think that would be very fun to interact with.

Hi there Talon, that's a great suggestion. I totally see what you mean about feeling frustrated with designing your character and then having no choice but to cover their design up in armour. I'll definitely feed this suggestion back to the team.

While this is not exactly the same as what you've suggested, you can use the dresser item to toggle whether or not armour is visible. You can toggle each slot (helm, breast, and pants armour) individually, and toggling the visibility means that you can essentially make your armour invisible but still get the full effects of wearing it.
