Suggestion: Upgradable/faster conveyor belts.

Simple suggestion, I would love for there to be a faster conveyor belt once you get to higher tier materials. Once I'm mining Galaxite Boulders, waiting for it to cross the map is so sluggish, I'd love for just a better version of existing items (same with rails or minecarts).

Along with this, an option to one click upgrade all of the belts or rails in a line with one click (if you have the mats)

question- if you string that conveyor belt out to the rock a billion km from the core, do the drills still continue to work or do they park in memory still

i've been moving mobile drilling rigs around the map while i get my fishing level maxed, but was always wondering about this. i havent been paying attention to recent patchnotes sry lol.

I heard alot of people saying that they stop once you get too far from them, but I have built a base in the grassy wilderness, and have a belt system going across that, through rock, through clay, through dirt, back through clay the rock, then dirt, across the far side of the wall and into the desert for galaxite ore and it is always working nomatter where iv gone so far.

excellent, these classy devs sorted it out. i'll go by your testing. mind you, i'm on an older map/character so i might need to make a new map.

i've wanted to do this type of transport since i saw the belts and have been stockpiling bars for a massive, massive transport system lmao :D

it seems like the time is now!

i'll still need to move the rigs but not needing to manually haul the ore is epic.

The wiki says "However, this is 55.5% of the boulder, and requires 16.65 hours of drilling when the boulder is off-screen with 8 Drills on it." Though this is community made, it does imply that the drills work off screen, I'm also fairly certain they do.

u will be swimming in galaxite soon enough. if your waiting for boulders to be mined instead of doing other things like searching for more boulders then it will take longer. but not a bad suggestion though. faster is always better.

yea they work a little slower when off screen but they still work. i got conveyors all over that mined many boulders. i got so much resources i dont even bother taking out the drills and generators after a boulder is mined out anymore or even mining boulders because my spawners make more res than i use

You run conveyors across the whole map? This isn't factorio?

I just put a smelter directly next to the boulder and run a dozen conveyor tiles to reach it. After portals are set up just teleport to a boulder to pick things up.

Or put drills on every boulder you come across that have conveyors to your base, that feed into a large factory floor which auto smelt and sort everything directly into your chests for use.

Just because YOU dont want it to be factorio doesnt mean that others dont want the functionality.

i would have needed like 20 teleporters if i mined like that. like i said, i have grown beyond the need to mine! i can zip around in a minecart for 10 minutes around my spawners and get hundreds of minerals. after i break down the equipment, i have thousands! AHAHAHAHAA!
