help finding wool

the cattle in the dirt biome died, anyone has tips on how to find another one in the wilderness? I need wool and it's the only way to get it
also they don't respawn wtf

The only methods I know of are to find more meadows, or to get the wool from another world. I keep hoping the devs will fix this (the easiest methods I can think of would be to either enable respawn, or allow breeding).

My policy for keeping the meadows cattle safe is to keep their meadows walled off until I'm ready to come and lead them back to my home (where they are walled off and safe in a pasture). It won't help your current game, but it's good policy even if a breeding/respawn mechanic is introduced.

Yeah, you've got to hope you still have an undiscovered meadow, or you're gonna need a second world for wool. Mostly, adding my voice to the above suggestions: A breeding mechanic would be nice, but respawning would be a viable option

I did find some in the wilderness thankfully
I agree a breeding mechanic would be really good, right now its kind of annoying having to find them like this, sometimes you meadows will be empty and you get nothing
