Scarab Wingcovers taking too long to find

Hi, really enjoying Core Keeper so far. My group is trying to collect 40 scarab wingcovers so we can summon Ra-Akar, but it's taking forever. We've spent hours in the desert trying to find them, and it's really been a slog. Everyone is burnt out on this. Please consider making them easier to find or increasing the rate that Bomb Scarabs drop them.

Hi Newtang, thanks for your feedback. It sounds like you and your friends are having quite the journey trying to collect the wingcovers, and I hope you're nearly there with summoning Ra-Akar. they appear on the ground as a red item in the desert that you can just attack. I was going crazy trying to kill scarabs to get them to drop, but once I saw them on the ground it wasn't too bad. Just have high movement speed/movement food buffs, fight nothing, and just run looking for them. Hope that helps!

I don't think it would be so bad if the rose petals weren't everywhere. Hopefully they'll be a little easier to spot after that Valentines event.

You can disable the event in game options.

Yep, I'm on this part of the game now and can confirm it's a total grind. Even looking for the red shells on the ground is taking forever. I've burned about 4 straight hours on this one single endeavour now and I'm unbelievably bored. (This is in stark contrast with the rest of the game being so fun!)

Considering mobs in all the other biomes, they now have floor tiles associated with them I think the same will be necessary for the mobs in the sunken sea and the lost desert. Currently only the slippery slime, valley moss, and lava slime are the available mob spawning floor tiles. You can also generate spawns of the lava butterflies using lava and tentacles with the sunken seas water. However, there is no floor tiles for the bubble crab or the bomb scarab which causes a bit of a progression barrier, especially considering the low drop rates that they have for those items. Also considering that Ancient Feathers are dropped by the Caveling Farmers and Hunters, and they have spawning floor tiles I think it's only natural that these other boss related item drops should have some method of farming that isn't just keep exploring. Especially considering that the map generated ones do not regenerate, this results in a hard barrier for players.
