Galaxite set + sword.
For food I use (Carrock + spore) (pinegrapple + pinepaya or whatever its called)
Lots of potions
Use a scholars staff for range.
PIckaxe for azeos is needed.
bombs work better than pickax IMO so you don't have to stop moving
Ooooh that's a dang good idea! Thanks~
Food buffs and potions are a must (effects from potions stack with those from food), they make everything so much easier. For food, try to go for 2xGold plants to get the best rare food tier (and gold fruits unlock a second effect). Also, there is a food recipe for immunity to being slowed by slime, getting poisoned or burn damage. That is very helpful against the slimes.
Your equipment should be at least on the level of the metal you find in that boss's biome. For an extra edge you can upgrade equipment at the salvaging station.
Try to get your skills leveled up. Each level adds a stat bonus, like increased damage, armor or speed. Take the perks, that have good synergy with each other and that work very well with your strategy.
Focus on a strategy, and invest in it. Choose a combat type, either close combat or ranged and use items and skills that increase only this damage. Choose a defense style, like high mobility, max dogde or armor + shield. Choose if you want to increase your raw damage or go instead for critical hits.
Make use of your off hand and choose an item dedicated to your strategy. In the beginning I used to keep the lantern in there because of the glow and because I was to lazy to switch. But the areas of the osses are lit up enough you don't need extra glow. An additional increase in damage, dodge or crit chance, or a shield works wonders.
Study the movement and attack patterns of the bosses. For the slime bosses you can train with Glurch, because their stomp timing and aggro distance are identical. When you get used to it, it becomes quite easy to just evade most of their attacks.
For the titans it becomes more difficult, as they have some additional attacks, that are difficult to evade. Some of those can be mitigated by a shield or by using a swift feather and just dashing away from them. Still, knowing their patterns helps, though it could take you some defeats to get used to them.
If you place a bed near the boss's areas, and sleep in it, you will be teleported to the bed after getting killed by the boss, so you can easily get back to them. If you get the right distance, you can even prevent them from vanishing, so you won't have to use another summoning item.
Manipulate the environment. You can remove slime with a hoe, remove or add ground and remove or place walls. For some it can give you a temporarily small advantage, and a few like the hive mother or a hidden one can be completely wrecked without any repercussions by doing this.

My personal strategy for Azeos (before the sunken sea and desert have been integrated) was:
- Best possible close combat weapon (for me that was the legendary sword) + Shield (to block the lightning)
- Bombs (for the crystals - though a galaxite pickaxe with a decent mining skill level should also get them down in 3 fast strikes)
- CC damage potion + Ironskin Potion + Potion for reduced boss damage
- Food: Carrock (armor) + Puffungus (gold for reduced boss damage + extra damage bonus to bosses), Shiny larva meat (crit chance bonus + Life Drain) + Bombpepper (increased movement speed)
- Skills: As much close combat as was possible at that time, and level 75 farming for the poison perk (reduces Azeos' healing by 75% so I had more time to manage the crystals)
I hope, this helps a bit. Good Luck and Good Hunting :)
