Halloween Event is Live

Topic. Have to wait till after work to check it out in a few hours but this is a good spot for me to jump back into the game after a break.

Hopefully next update doesn't cause us to have to restart a new world for the updated biome(s). I saw someone mention it a few posts ago. Fingers crossed. Having to restart a new map might be the reason I walk away till it's out of ea.

Edit: Ran around for a little bit and saw the little additions. I saw on YT they added a okay sized chunk of new stuff. I am just thinking it is gonna be easier to just camp outside of my farm and let everything kill each other then just swoop in and clean up.

Hey the event isn't too bad. I like what I've seen so far. The bags of candy are kinda cool.

They could've spent more time on it and added more things, but it would've delayed the development. I'm actually really glad they managed to stay on target and not get distracted with seasonal side content.

Completely agree; I'd of preferred they didn't do it at all really - don't want to be grinchy but it is so small it feels like a waste of time.

Ugh the drop rate of the bags. I've opened about 50 and still not got the boss summoning item!

I think the post you saw mislead you into believe this misinformation. The only thing that did not retroactively become available in already existing worlds was the appearance of naturally generated Fungal Growths in the Dirt Biome, but you could still obtain these pieces from drops from enemies and build your own Fungal Growths, which would behave exactly the same as Fungal Growths of newly generated worlds. Everything else that has been added to Core Keeper has been readily available in already existing worlds, and even this, as you can see, was still implemented in a way that you could still enjoy it in your existing worlds

The patch notes say the events are now based on your computer date. So essentially you could farm these events anytime now if you change the clock. I'm going to try easter event soon to check.

holy moses let me know because I missed it also. I'd make backups of your saves too before you try it just in case it goes south.

like the old days of setting the playstation clock and the sort to get holiday stuff in certain games.
