How to harvest crops without digging up ground or sprinkler?

Is there some way to harvest crops without digging up anything EXCEPT the crops? I keep digging up sprinklers and such by accident.

You could also use drills but you won't get the seed back and you won't get xp.

Punching picks up the sprinklers and can knock down walls. Does the HOE actually harvest as well as turn the soil? If so that might be just the thing!

The hoe is multi purpose. It will harvest crops, but it will also untill soil, rip up ground items and be a general menace.

It would be nice to have a dedicated scythe for farming.

The scarlet hoe shouldn't dig up sprinklers. I haven't had it do it for me at least.

Hoe can be used to remove ground slimes. It does NOT remove the sprinklers. it only affects crops, till/untill, and ground slime removal.

But yes, I agree, need a way to remove crops without accidental structural damage.

I've made comments about this in my gardening video. How I accidently remove my torches or the water well. Or even my chests containing all the seeds and equipment.

With Roots, you can swing your Sword and chop the roots and it does not affect the stump.
Need a sickle or scythe.

I agree with this, give me a farming sickle or something since it's rather annoying having to rebuild my fences and torches when trying to gather up my crops, it's getting annoying to the point I'm about to just make a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of walls to mostly avoid this and that's just going to make my base look ugly. And like maybe an added buff of x% to get double seed/crops.

I just been using the scarlet hoe, 3x3 my gardening is now 40 YAY! Cooking takes longer, it's still 20.....D'oh!
