Octarine Pickaxe better than Ancient?

It looks to me like Octarine is better, am I correct?

I'd need to compare the numbers, but I seem to recall the Octarine Pickaxe being slightly better than the Ancient one.

The pick's most important stat is mining power and when the Octarine pick is reinforced I believe it has higher mining power than the ancient.

Ancient hits slightly faster but has less Mining damage, for me its Octarine all the way because i need to wear less +Minining damage items for oneshotting rocks

Ancient Pickaxe got nerf lately and now it same level as octarine
but Ancient dig speed more than octarine

Numbers are suck. There is too many of them. They out number me.
