Lost location of death

Like the title says i lost the location of my last death. Cant find a marker. So is my gravestone despawnd?

Do you play with others? Does anyone else might´ve taken it away?

Don´t know about such bugs, but i never heard so far, that they can despawn.

No its my single player world. Left the game after dying but cant remember where and the marker is gone.

I'll just add in my own experience with this and maybe its the same type of thing that happened. I have noticed occasionally that sometimes when I die to enemies they will break the grave stone marker. all my stuff would still be sitting there on the floor. I could still pick up the items if i remembered where I died, but when they broke the grave marker it would remove the death marker from my map. I just know if I forgot exactly where I was when I died I rarely got my items back when this happened.

Sounds like it needs to be set so enemies cannot destroy grave stones. I have had this happen myself but I wasn't carrying anything of value at the time so I never thought anything of it. :edit: with a flag for "dropped by player death" and not "placed by player" to avoid players walling off bosses with grave markers like what we used to do with hive mother mob spawners using walls.

I had the same problem just now. Died, quit the game and rejoined on the next day to find my death marker gone.
I knew kind of where i died so i went there, and as i got closer, the marker reappeared, pointing to my intact grave.

Thank you! Mine reappeared when I was ~100 blocks away in cartesian distance.
