Ghorm doesnt feel like he works as intended
Me and a friend of mine recently completed the main content as of now, and I thought it was quite impressive for an early access title pretty fresh off release. The bosses all felt very fun to fight, but one of the biggest issues I had was with Ghorm. When we both went to fight him we hit him a bunch but he simply did not care and continued on his way which really confused us. We waited for him to come around again and used some bombs, which once again he simply ignored and continued on his path. We finally got him to aggro after spamming down a ton of bombs, and once he was aggroed he didnt really last very long, which seemed odd to me as probably the most physically imposing boss. I think Ghorm could do with either a larger health pool, an increase to his phase 2's HP threshold to something like 90-95% of his total health, or both. It would also be cool if he got maybe some damage resistance against bombs or spikes to prevent instakilling, Thoughts?

Totally agree on this. To me it felt more like a DPS dummy rather than a boss, getting him down to 50% was harder than dodging him lol

If you use the grubzooka (craftable at the core after defeating Hive Mother) he can be pretty easy. By using the necklace that lets you run on slime without being slowed, along with food made with bomb pepper for bonus move speed, you can run along ahead of Ghorm firing back at him. After only a few shots you'll have done enough damage to aggro him and start the fight properly. A few more well-placed shots that travel down his length will be enough to finish him off.

Just make like 40 traps, put them in his tunnel, and watch him die as the framerate grinds to a halt. lol. Even with the slingshot this fight was so easy, as his turn radius is so huge and just him circling you creates enough space to fight him in.

Hmm bombs for the first time then you should kill him before he gets out of his spawn zone( im 4-5 shotting him atm)

Edit , try him on another world maybe hes bugged out on your world for X reason :s

im not sure youre understanding, I beat this boss a while ago. what im complaining about here is that the health threshold on his aggro is far too low and hes just a little too squishy in general.

Yea but if he wasnt if would be a pain for new players , especially when he can break anything you built in is path when using a respawn token.

Then again it does depend how many bombs you dropped , the dmg done is done...

Edit: i spawn and kill under 5 sec ... hes rly not hard and easy to overgear for him ,,, you just maybe hit that threshold in dmg too :)

Remember you need all 3 to even progress further and craft useful items , would really be a shame if he was harder than the next ghorm like boss in upcoming biomes ;)

yeah i get that, the part that really makes the least sense to me was the fact that he aggros at about half health, if he did it at maybe 80-95% of his total health I feel that would just make more sense in general and make the fight more interesting for those of us who dont want to have to cheese the boss with spike traps and bombs.

oh i meant i just bash him down in 5-10sec just with melee and no actual food buffs outside well fed ..

So you say he aggroed on you on very low health, and yet you say it's easy.
If he aggroed properly (which also happens), you could get rekt.
