Hmm. Best played with controller or mouse & keyboard?
Title says it. I'd have to go buy another controller to do controller, but I totally will if it's just better that way. Thoughts?

depends i have always used a controller still mouse you have hot keys for controller you don't have them all. set L3 to hot key 2 and R3 set to hot key 8 touch pad to add all items from inventory to chest and the share as stake 10 items you need to go into settings to change the layout that's the only thing i did helped a lot :) best of luck

I use my 8Bitdo controller and like it. The only real reason over mouse/keyboard is I play mostly on my laptop and i don't always have a place to use my actual mouse - I think can agree a touchpad isn't optimal to use here lol.

But yea I dig using a controller. Works well for me. And I love my 8Bitdo - I have rumble support for Switch emulation, can set it to be recognized as a PS, Xbox, Switch or PC controller, excellent battery life, and it feels good in my hands although it is a bit smaller then some controllers. About Switch Pro size give or take a tad.

I just need to figure out some better control shortcut set. I think map is on the wrong button for sure. I don't think clicking the right stick is used for anything (is that R3? It's an xbone controller) and I don't use the D-pad so I am sure there's stuff I could put on there. Would be swell if I could use that to quick select weapons and tools. Maybe use that with the modifier button to expand it to 8 items too.

I use keys and mouse and love it, partner is new to gaming so gets on better with a controller but uses mouse for inventory things sometimes.

I definitely enjoy most of the gameplay on controller, but inventory management is definitely A LOT easier with keyboard and mouse. I suspect that part might get a little easier later on, as their current controller management system appears to be bolted-on and is a little limited, but even if they don't, it's not the end of the world, just slower.
