I'm willing to bet you just haven't enabled v-sync.
If your PC is too weak to run Core Keeper, you might want to find a new hobby. My 3 year old's 12 year old PC runs just fine.
Daily im running, blade and soul and genshin impact and this simultaneously on a stock ryzen 5 3600 With barely any noticable performance drop. (with all games maxed mind you).
Are you running the game in full screen? What your native desktop resolution?
Poeple really should stop buying crap for gaming or games without fulfilling the requirements.
The game runs very well. They should focus on content.
That being said, this game IS a lot more demanding than it's graphics make it seem. The water and lighting effects are fairly advanced and any game with the kind of automated crafting/factory functionality that this game has is going to hammer away at your performance the more you build it up, especially now that the distance cap has been removed. This concept is so much of a given of this genre that there are entire YouTube channels devoted to using it to cause massive crashes.
On the upside, the developers have mentioned more than once that optimization is a major focus of theirs, and was one of the primary focuses of the developmental branch, so it's likely that the game will continue to get more efficient as the Early Access period continues.
I had to drop the settings to medium or low just to get an average 40fps, but I still get regular drops below 30, and I'm only getting 2 hours of battery life. I've got AAA games that look and play better that I get longer battery life out of.
