Advice on Azeos?

I have tried fighting the 1st titan, with full scarlet gear, grub ring, swift ring and boss necklace, golden heart steak, spicy cheese, and potions but I keep getting taken out by the multitude of beams he drops while I am trying to knock out the crystal spawns to stop him regenerating. I cant keep crafting the shiny egg to call him down when I died and he takes off again, so what do I need to do to kill this guy?

Using a shield to block beams (they will do very little dmg if you block them with shield)

Using bombs to get rid of the crystals instead of manually trying to knock them down .

Other than that , fill the gap around his spawn area to make it easier to reach if he tp on the other side but you have the basic down .

Shield & Bombs should solve your issue with defeating him

Thanks, I will try shield and bombs. (I figured the crystals needed scarlet pick at least)

I had built bridges to let me get off the platform to the outer ring but I can fill in all the gaps to make it easier. I might have to build up vitality as well by farming mobs to get some more HP as well. It is just super tough fighting him at the moment and I thought I had to top tier of gear but he took me down very easily each time.

I'm done. This fight is ridiculous and I am sick of wasting time on it. Game was fun up until this point.

I think there's a shield that reduces damage by 70%. There's also a poison melee weapon that reduces health regeneration by 50%. I think you should be able to tank and spank the boss without even destroying the crystals.

I think the boss you fight by using 10 fragemented crystal skull shards or something drops the shield and a decent dagger that you can swap to once it gets poisoned.

Also if your main problem is the lasers, I would wear the goblins clothing or whatever they're called which gives dodge chance. Either you have like a 60% to dodge the laser or you take like 30 damage with the shield.

The scaling would go up apparently if there were more players. So the boss would possibly be harder with others.

Still, I found the boss to be rather easy. The corrupt shaman is a fair bit harder. Perhaps the only nerf Azeos could really use is the fact that multiple beams can hit you at once (you have no substantial amount of i-frames after being hit like terraria). Effectively allowing the boss to deal 500+ hp in a few miliseconds if you try to tank the closing circle attack pattern. So just don't tank it.

Most beam patterns are meant to have gaps you can go between with relative ease. When random beams spawn up, they can't even hit you for like 1 second after they spawn. The boss is bullet hell esk basically, and probably the most skill based boss in the game for it. No hit runs should be more than possible after 10 or 20 attempts. Finessing between the beams admittedly can be a bit tricky at higher movement speeds on keyboard controls (as movement isn't really smooth), but the high movement speeds make dodging the beams waste a lot less time.

I managed to do it with high mining and a scarlet pick, when he initially summons the crystals he doesn't really do anything for a moment giving you a chance to break them before he teleports and activates them, alternatively you can level up your gardening enough to get the poison on melee hit proc to reduce his healing by 75%, with the legendary sword + the gardening poison proc I can kill him even with four crystals healing him due to the poison reducing it by 75%.

also yes fill in the ground in his arena with ground from elsewhere, don't use bridges as they can and will be broken by the lightning beams.

As a side note hes great melee XP if you're good at dancing around his beams since you can just let the crystals heal him.

I learnt a method from a streamer, you clear a big area around this boss and cover the area up with purple slime ground and spike trap (craft by tin)

This method also work with the 2 phase fire boss

Build a bunch of spike traps. I had over 100. Let them do the killing while you dodge and take out the crystals.

Good ideas, thanks. I guess i just need to explore more and build up more resources. What really annoys me is having to craft the egg again each time I die. The other bosses stick around so you can jump back in and they have just recovered health, but which Azeos he takes off and has to be coaxed back down to restart the fight.

i have automation going on a number of nodes so will build up and try a few of the suggestions. I used all my good reserves on the attempts so far.... and assumed I needed to beat this guy to help with dealing with the areas beyond the wall.

honestly its really not that hard, if you truly can not beat azeos go kill some mold creatures and eventually u can get a blowpipe, use the blowpipe against azeos until you poison it then switch to melee and repeat. They poison reduces her healing by 75% for a short time. You can probably ignore most crystals but just drop a bomb on the 3 or 5 that activate blue and a line appear between that crystal and azeos. Use a shield or don't. It will save you from getting stacked 1 hit if holding space when equipped in offhand. I have beat Azeos many times with multiple people and more solo. It's easier solo, I can kill it in under 20 seconds.

Another option is using the poison sickle if you have it.

I understand that and had watched a vid on You tube as I was looking for how to Find him as I did not realise the hologram was the 3rd NPC vendor. I thought the hologram was to summon him. So I was looking for more feathers to make the scanner and stumbled upon the arena anyway (the core told me NE which I had explored but kept hitting coral areas). I saw the gear and the food and potions the You tuber had and had pretty much the same gear minus the ancient pick axe and the sword, so tried the fight out. The you tube video make it look easy but I was wiped out every time I tried it so need to go exploring more for these items suggested.

I dont have any of the poison items so need to go looking for them. I tried the shield and it worked a bit but I still took damage and wasnt quick enough so got wiped trying to mine/bomb the crystals. Also need to build skills more to get some of the talent options mentioned.

Poison sickle destroys him utterly if you can get it off Ivy or the mold biome, since it badly nerfs the healing he does. Alternatively, blowdart spam with some crystal breaking. Didn't find him very bad at all with some potions and decently levelled skills.

I havent found Ivy or the other boss yet. So still exploring. I thought Azeos was the next step after the other 3 but sounds like I need to do more first. I have been working through Gardening and building that skill to get the poison ability up as well. i did find the components for the sword you buy the recipe for which I have crafted.
