Is the controller worth using ?
Just curious to see if anyone else is trying to use or is using a controller in game. Also, game has been fun soo far - nothing too wild yet.......

I use controller from the first time playing this.
Since I never use mouse & keyboard, I can't really compare those two inputs. Some advantages using keyboard and mouse are :
- will increase your speed when managing the inventory / chest
- quick torch access on controller are L3, which not convenience at all. So 1 quick slot are dedicated for torch.
- better aim when using range weapon

But it's fine for me, I can manage good home base and kill all boss solo using controller.

There are a few issues with the controller.

Examples:
No character input
Some shortcuts don't work properly (QoL) such as:
-Quick Inventory transfer doesn't work (I've tried every combination of buttons I can think of at least). Okay, you need to map one and the other one you need to press the action button along with the transfer button.
-Quick Torch is mapped badly as it is hold L3, not toggle L3 (and there aren't really many good options to remap it since it is hold)

Forced character facing doesn't seem to work or doesn't work well. With PC, you can easily make a wall by facing in one direction. With controller, you have to place one block at a time or you might drop a wall in the wrong spot.
Certain interactions are more difficult because you have to move grid by grid instead of having shortcuts while with mouse you can just move directly over. Some of the grid by grid movement is somewhat not intuitive in that what you expect to happen might not happen (ie. if you move too far right, your selection moves to the left side, but if you try to move to the left side, it moves to the trash and it tries to prevent you from going back to the right via the left).
Ranged attack is definitely harder with a controller, even if you have a good controller.

Aye, I remapped them as well,

R3 is dual mapped to Quick torch and Quick transfer.
L3 is mapped to Sort inventory.

Yes that. If you have something already in a storage, it'll move all same items from your bags to storage in one click.

I'm talking about that and fast move which is for the item you have hovered over.

There is no button assignment for fast move that I could find. (ie. you hover over an item and shift+click and it moves the item first into any existing item, then any overflow goes into the first available slot).

Oh, if you look further down the options menu you'll find 'Inventory Modifiers'...

I should know, but I believe it's right trigger and A(xbox) or X(PS), is that what you're after?

edit: it's in your screenie... yeah right trigger + A or X

Okay, that worked, thanks. I missed it cus it said shift/right trigger and not shift+click / right trigger + button and didn't realize that was what I was looking for.
