Is Sophie 1 DX still worse than the original?

I'm copying my post from Sophie's forums since they look pretty dead.

"I wanted to play this(Sophie 1 DX) or Ryza as my first Atelier game, so I got both, but then I found out this game's DX version was a Switch or Vita port.
All the topics mentioning it are a few years old, and they kept saying they might get a fix for it, but I'm wondering if that ever happened?
I don't really want to buy this(Sophie 1 DX) if it's just a crappier version of the game. If it is, can I still buy the original on Steam, I can't find it, but saw it mentioned before.

Are the playstation DX versions fine? I read that the PS5 version was a Switch asset downgrade, while the PS4 version was perfectly fine. I own both those consoles.

It seems I can possibly get a key of the original off Humble, should I just do that? Or go for PS4 version? Not sure if the PS4 DX version is supposed to be better than the original though. Or if there might be Sony censorship."

At the very least I can tell you that the original version for Sophie and Firis can have problems running on current systems, to the point that I had to abandon the idea of replaying those a couple years ago.
From what I understand, the DX versions have less issues on that front but I don't want to pay for them again just to play a few hours on games I already cleared.

Bought the game in the recent sale and been enjoying it with the atelier fix windows edition. It didn’t had any issues in 3,5h of playing.
