Inventory cleanup strategy ?

Is there any way to cleanup your storage efficiently ?
E.g. I've now hit the 10k slot limit and I would like to sell all stuff without traits and <4 slots filled. Doing this 1 by 1 is quite a PITA, especially because it scrolls back after clicking each item...

Sort by traits, move the cursor to the first item without traits so it doesn't move to start. I played on switch so it might be slightly different for you.

It's easier to just throw unwanted items away from the storage screen.
You can quickly select many items to throw away, making it a great way to remove items with low quality or without traits.

Why is it easier from the storage screen ?
How do you select many items at the same time (without clicking them individually) ?

In the countainer, open the sub-menu and select "discard all" (a misnomer, it's just something that lets you select several items at once for discard).
From there you can select as many items as you want, then confirm (start on a gamepad, not sure on a keyboard).

By the way, while I was checking I went to a store and selected sell, I can definitely select as many items as I want to sell at once.
If you hold the button, you can even select several lines at once.

The cursor moves to the item after the last selected from where your cursor was, taking you to the top if it reaches the end of the list.

There isn't any easy way to discard. You'll have to use the "discard all" function in the container within your Atelier, this wont discard everything but rather allow you to select multiple items to discard. You'll need to enable a turbo function and walk away while it selects everything. if you're seed farming, make sure you favorite the seeds you've made first so you don't discard them by accident.

Thanks guys. Yea I've found that keeping the left mouse pressed and using the WASD keys allows one to select multiple items which eases the problem. Haven't found a way to sort by number of slots filled tho (or even number of stars).

Sort by component sorts by how many components there are (0 to 4), no matter how much is in each component.
