Wrestling Empire

Confused about wrestling & challenging the opposite gender.
If I'm playing a male character, I can be put in matches against women, and a women's title can even be on the line and I can win it, but if I try to specifically challenge a woman, in I think any company, she'll say "A mixed gender match wouldn't work!" Likewise, I've won a women's title as a man, I've had men win women's titles and women win men's titles in my career, but if I go into the roster tab and assign a title for one gender to a wrestler of the opposite gender, as soon as I go back into Career, it says the person is a humiliation for the title, strips them, and puts it on someone of the designated gender.

Is there a particular reason for this, and is there a workaround or a mod to get around this? It's kind of annoying that Lady Viola can start a feud with me and I can beat her for a women's title, but Mary Class can win the world title in the company I'm in but I can't challenge her because she says "a mixed gender match wouldn't work!"

You just have to be persistent. It's like how you can challenge people to matches from other promotions, and sometimes they'll say, "We aren't even in the same promotion! Reee!"

That doesn't mean you CAN'T get them to agree. You just have to keep trying until they agree.

Seriously? The game is so wacky (both intentionally and unintentionally) that I'd believe it, but I want to make sure you're being serious, so I don't spend hours trying to challenge someone with zero chance of it working if you're not serious. (No offense to you; it's very hard to me if someone's joking through text.)

Also, do you know anything about people being stripped of titles for the wrong gender when the title is assigned to them, but it's fine if they win it in a match?

I'm serious. It's 100% possible to challenge women wrestlers, both champions and non-champions, as a male and actually wrestle them. You can't just spam the question until it works though. You basically have to try once per match.

Yes, you can win the women's title. You'll even get a news article about how some people think you're making a mockery of the title, lol.
Huh. I honestly didn't know you could successfully challenge the opposite gender. I also didn't know you could successfully challenge someone in a different promotion; I thought it was just a random occurrence. I'll just keep trying to challenge until I get the match, permitting I don't leave the promotion or the person doesn't lose the belt by then.

As for the title part: I know you can win a women's title as a man - I've been put in a match with a woman randomly and won the championship off her - but any time I go to the Roster menu and put a men's title on a woman or a women's title on a man, as soon as I do one match in Career, there's a headline that the person I assigned is a humiliation to the title, is stripped, and someone of the intended gender is immediately made champion. I was asking if you knew anything about that.

Ya know, I'll have to experiment more with that myself. Time to put in some hours.
So I played a bit, left the company, the character lost the title, but I kept trying to challenge, and now have not only an intergender match scheduled, but an intergender interpromotional match scheduled. I guess it's just a very low chance for the challenge to succeed. Thanks a bunch for the tip. :3
Update: I've managed to have several intergender matches, where I've been able to win men's titles off of women holding them, and defend men's titles against women, but I can't get a title match for a women's title; it will always be a non-title match if I'm facing a woman holding a women's title. It's really strange; I was International champion in Rising Sun Puroresu, while my (female) manager was Joshi champion (which I could challenge the champion before her to a match, but it was a non-title match, and I didn't have a title at the time), but I got fired for not taking a pay cut and my manager had to leave as well(had 0 weeks on the contract for ages; I guess managers don't get released when their weeks run out if they're actively managing someone), so both belts were vacated, and it made the Shinsuke Nakamura character the Joshi champion.

I have absolutely no idea why it works like this.
My roster is half men ad half women and it's really difficult to get intentional intergender matches or feuds going on properly. I much preferred the way it was handled in Wrestling Revolution 3D where no such non-sense existed.

If there was a belt category to choose for for each wrestler like we can do with territories, but with lightweight title, heavy weight title, woman title, tag etc, without restriction regardless of gender or weight, then all this wouldn't be a problem anymore.
