This game confuses me, couple questions

So I saw a video covering this game and I thought it looked cool, I did try the demo but found the wrestling matches to be unplayable almost. Im unable to run off of the ropes, running at them only makes you go outside of the ring.

Plus, somehow I keep taking control of like a ring announcer and ring girl on accident even though my control icon still shows for the wrestler I started with? And then i can never switch back to the actual wrestler? Why would I even want to switch to the announcer or a random ring girl lol. Idk it was literally unplayable. It was just the demo match though. I thought this would be a cool throwback AKI style wrestling game but doesnt feel like it :(

The other thing I wondered is, are you able to change all the wrestlers names to whatever you want? Like obviously they are lookalikes, so could I change them to whatever? Or is it permanent that they have the fake names?

Sadly the demo is old as hell and full of bugs. Are you sure the gamepad is correctly configured? I have no idea why any of the things you describe would be happening. You shouldn't be able to take over other characters than your tag partner, certainly not the ref.

When it comes to wrestler customization you are completely free to change anything about them down to the moveset and stats. You can totally change the silly fake names but I prefer to keep them or make them sillier.

My advice would be to buy the game since the outdated demo really isn't a good reprecentation of it. If you still have weird issues like described then get a refund. Just make sure to not play for more than two hours or Steam will deny you.

Ah that makes sense. Yeah in the demo, when trying to figure out the controls, that kept happening. I believe it was L that would switch me to either a ringside commentator, or a random girl. I had referee off and it was just 1 on 1. And after I'd control 1 of them, I could never switch back to the wrestler, it would just have the ai controlling the wrestler lmao so yeah I didn't get that far in seeing if I like the actual gameplay in the ring. The RPG type element of managing a entire wrestling territory system honestly is what sold me though. I can imagine a game like this having like, the ability to have an online league where you can trade wrestlers contracts with other players could be amazing. It has a lot of potential for just being a single player game either way though
