Warhammer 40k CHAOS GATE 2
Hello, i enjoyed the game 2 playtrough and i think its very good turn based tactical game. I would like to get a second part, with the succes of space marine 2 there is a lot of new players into this universe so maybe the sales will be wider. The last DLC was great and fun too. I wonder if you guys are considering to make a sequel.

Cheers :humanity:

I have to admit I had been hoping for a first person shooter when this first before this had come out. Loved the setting ever since "The Realms of Chaos" and "The Lost and the Damned" had come out for the old Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader Rules and thought it was the perfect setting for RPG. BTW talking about the old "Rogue Trader" rules for the tabletop game from the late 80's early 90's not the current video game

We need an expansion for this game. Include some new recruits from like the Blood Angels or something; I don't know how the lore will work but I want some other chapters on top of my Grey Knights.

It certainly wouldn’t work specifically to be hunting down daemons as Blood Angels, but would be fun to explore a Deathwatch based, Xenos-hunting game for sure if not a direct sequel with more Grey Knights.

Hell yeah, a smart and shiny new one of these, I'd buy in an instant! If they could open up the squad number to 5 or 6 that would be sweet, like in XCom when you upgrade the barracks.

Bah, we were hunting daemons with Ultrasmurfs in OG Chaos Gate, they usually come bundled with traitor Marines, and not all Chaos events require asking the Grey Knights to come!

I have a sad feeling they won't be making a sequel. It's an amazing game that was passed over by many for some reason (probably lack of advertising) Both this and Dune spicewars are in my top 10 games of the last 10 years and they seem to have been ignored by the masses.

Close to 10.000 review is not so bad, though, but sadly, the studio was also bought by Frontiers right before they launched a wave of "reorganization". I hope they can make a successor to Chaos Gate, because it was also in my top 10 of the recent games.
Frontier have actually more than doubled the number of employees since the acquisition:

Founded in 2001 by Noah Decter-Jackson and Adrian Cheater, Complex has over 21 years of experience in a wide variety of game genres and platforms. The studio is based in Winnipeg, in the Canadian province of Manitoba, and employs 20 talented people, primarily developers.

A current job opening[www.frontier.co.uk] states:
The studio is based in Winnipeg, Canada, and employs 45 talented and passionate people including its founders and several other industry veterans. We‘re now growing the team and looking forward to making even more great games in the future as part of Frontier. Come join us!

25 new employees since the acquisition.

As they're still expanding it's pretty safe to assume they're working on something, whether or not that turns out to be a sequel or some other game is only really known to Frontier/Complex right now.

That's good news, but they said they wanted to focus on their core brands, right?
They've canned all third party publishing but Complex Games is a first party studio now.

Whilst their UK studio is refocusing on what has worked for them in the past (park management games and continuing to support Elite Dangerous) it's more likely Complex Games is focussing on what they know, especially given the job vacancy linked above talks about turn based RPG games.

Seeing as Frontier haven't stated to investors that there is more than one game coming out in their upcoming fiscal year (1st June 2025 - 31st May 2026) whatever they're working on is probably still 14+ months out.

Games Workshop announcements typically happen during Warhammer Skulls Festival, so there is still hope of something being announced this year.
It's unlikely in the near term given they would only have been working on it full time since the console port released in February 2024.
