that new mission is way unbalanced
5 warp rift consecutive each turn, 5 new enemies every turn, even those ♥♥♥♥ Nurgle Cultists and poxwalker are a big trouble, and the Preacher give 3 armor to them. WTF!!
You kill Those bastards and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Nurgling Swarm keep reviving those zombies!
now I have 13 enemies in my sight and one more pack is coming.
I know i'm playing legendary, but never got so hard.
It's way ahead the other missions.
I'm around day 100. No lvl, no weapons, the only way is to avoid this mission until mid game day 300 or so...
Edit: Later on is easy but not the best way to farm seeds cuz it is impossible to save all three posts.

My complaint with it has never been "this is too hard" but rather "this is too long and lacks QOL solutions, while also not rewarding nearly enough for my efforts"

0 corruption reduction, 1 seed pod to pop, 0 seed carriers. It is okay for exp, but lacking AP refresh between battles means it's very hard to concentrate that on a new knight you're power leveling.

I do these missions when I am hunting for tier 3 passive wargear. Otherwise, I'll send the frigate if I can and will skip if I can't.

when i play i always skip the servitor mission, however yes, for some reason that mission always have the best loot of all bloom spawns

I play with a mind towards highly specific loot, so I don't find it uniquely valuable.

While playing a base campaign width DLCs disabled on a regular difficulty I've expected a challenge in this mission. Instantly went to search for some info on strategies. The distance between three camps seemed problematic from the start, but I managed to defend one camp with all 4 Knights, then smoothly transitioned to the second camp, with the plan to eliminate at least the chaos artillery tank that was blowing up their cover. Ended up clearing them all. Once I cleared that out, both camp 1 and 3 were attacked, so I defended camp 1 cleanly and kind of counted on 3 holding long enough so I can get there in time. That didn't happen, as the camp was literally swarmed with melee Poxwalkers who surrounded and killed the Servitor.

Imperial Guardsmen are actually performing adequately. There's just too few of them per camp.

This mission seems to be designed to try and force us to come up with a different strategy than just the usual "push all 4 knights in and kill everything in range". Here a sniper build would really shine.

Also, there is no seeds in it, so taking a glorious deed challenge to "Extract 2 seeds" was just as pointless as the fact that such deed can be offered for a mission with no chance to complete it.

The game should not generate deeds to extract seeds on these missions since enemies don't ever spawn carrying seeds but there are some maps (maybe all of them, not sure) that have the seeds you can pick up off the ground. If you have the right stuff researched then just grabbing one means you get a bunch and you can complete the deed that way.

long boring missions that are not possible love to know how easy it is to kill 15 bad Guys with 6 armour and better guns than me.

use crowd control. Hailer skulls could deal with half of them. A techmarine could taunt some of the rest and then you kill what is left. But if you are facing off against 15 opponents at once, you might need to evaluate your tactics. You should be able to clear most enemies that spawn each turn before they get a chance to accumulate. On this particular mission you also have the marines to draw some attention. They don't have much killing power but they can buy you a few turns.

Good idea, poorly executed. The main problem is the presense of the friendly troops that prevent you from reseting the round when you kill the last enemy in sight. That alone increases the difficulty in an unpleasant manner and kills some valid tactics (like "teleport in your free round directly into a "blib marker" and mob them up with your than new 3 AP

Im not 100% sure, but I think saving enough Servitors shoould be enought. Because I had a mission which gave me 11 Seeds and had only one seed to pick from the ground, so asuming they gave 2, each suriving servitor should give 3 seeds

Usually on the missions where you need to retrieve seeds, there are a few seed pods hidden around the map as well. With the right research you can get 2 seeds per pod I believe.

I haven't played this on legendary yet (playing on ruthless) but I do kind of enjoy these missions, yes the rewards are limited, but you do get a lot of xp from all those enemies. I think I would find it more frustrating without assassins, but they really help to even the odds, particularly the culexus.
I don't know if the devs are still making updates to this game, but I would've liked to see a little more variety in the guardsmen, maybe a commissar or some guys with special weapons - the cultists are toting stubbers and grenade launchers and the poor old guard are stuck with las guns

the servitor missions just take too long, far longer than any of the other missions (maybe except morbus gate defend for 7 turns?)
