In that case why does it give you the extreme technophage missions that basically require the dreadnaught so early on when you have little hope of completing them? They are essentially replacing much easier missions.
I managed to do an extreme by luckily starting near the first objective and teleporting towards the second and finally buy running away with one surviving squad member. There was no way to do that mission properly so it completely messes up the balance game. The mission in question should have been a low mission but was replaced with extreme. I would like to think this gets patched because it seems to be a bit of an oversight and the game is unforgiving enough already.
Im not even trying until I see a patch adressing some stuff.
The games balance is a big concern, and devs got it otherwise, didnt allow us to use dreadnought on every mission to "keep challenge"
I strongly suspect they were fishing for a videogame news headline a la "chaosgate is the dark souls of xcom like games".
Phoenix point already had this issue, cool game but every dlc added not only new stuff but made the game harder upon harder. People not even activating dlcs for subsequent runs, lol
