Nop. Armour paint job is fixed. Any other color beyond silver grey on a Grey Knight is HERESY.

HERETIC! Burn him!
On a more serious note, as you do not seem to grasp how ridiculous your question is:
The chapter is called GREY KNIGHTS, grey is their colour and it is a emperor-damned privilege to wear it! The colours have meaning. You can't just paint an Ultramarine red, or an Imperial fist pink, each space marine chapter has their own distinctive colours.

come on painting minis is arguably more "40k" than the game itself. Making your own chapters up is 1/2 the fun. If the feature was in the game, most people would use it, and you know it! : )

There is a shield or emblem which you can customise as well as character names, this is in the character when selecting a knight.

They're trying to be lore friendly. Fighting Demons (like they do in the game, anyway) is a Grey Knight thing. Grey Knights only come in "Grey", its suppose to represent their "purity" from corruption.

That said, I wish they had opened the game up for modding. I wouldn't mind fighting Nurgle as Imperial Fists of Blood Agnels - but again, they have entirely different equipment.

Grey Knight gear is all non standard astartes stuff, down to the wrist mounted storm bolters.

Most of the 40k fandom is pretty fanatical about their section of the lore, so anyone who liked the background of the Grey Knights would immediately be put off by them wearing say, red armor.

As for myself, I'll be waiting in a corner until the Doom Slayer Reskin mod comes out.

ok so as someone who is not in the lore, i can understand the grey aspect, but is there a problem in switching lets say the red parts of my armor to green? XD sometimes i have a problem to see which justicar i am using in my mission or at which position, so i thought that i would like to give a color nounce to specific units ^^

I tend to select exact heraldry for certain unit roles. Example: Single sword on a shield for my A squad, or assualt units. Three skulls for bravo squad or range units. So on.

It's likely 2ndary color are also lore locked.

If game design choice were made for lore reasons, 3 cultists wouldn't be able to suppress and down a grey knight XD
