Favorite weapons so far? For which class?
Pretty much as the title states. Just wondering which weapons people favor other others and for which class. I haven't played enough to get a good idea of them yet. This is both melee and range.

Thanks

I currently run:
Justicar - Storm Bolter/Force Sword
Interceptor - Storm Bolter/Falchions
Purgator - Psilencer
Apothecary - Storm Bolter/Narthi-thingy

Not managed any other classes since my save breaks every day or so with a game crash

Vanilla weapons: Thunder hammers and Psilencers.

Tiered weapons: Falchions the bigger the base critrate the better. Same deal with Psilencers.

Note: I have only seen one weapon with +stun, can't say anything about them.

Overall, storm bolters. They have the greatest variety of traits, there are more variations of them than any other weapon type, and that affords them the greatest flexibility in supporting various builds.

But other than that, specifically, my two favourite weapons are the Warpbreaker maul and The Pale halberd. Once you get them, you'll understand why :)

For me it depends on the rewards
Interceptor has a T3 force sword now with 30% crit , 40% extra crit in force strike and 4 crit dmg
Paladin has a T2 Hammer with 1 stun , 2 extra stun on force strike plus he has a T3 shield with 3 armor and cancels 2 melee strikes each round
Librarian has the T3 staff with 100% Agis on turn end
That's my best weapons i found so far

Here are mine:

Justicar: Bolter/Staff

Interceptor: Bolter/Any weapon that has good crit bonuses

Purgator: Tough choice between psiliencer and cannon, but i i discovered the power of upgraded psicannon AOE ability and i can't go back to the silencer anymore.

Apothecary: I don't use this class

Purifier: Flamethrower and grenades

The mind of a Librarian. I can get up to three stunned guys and three executions in a row. Delicious...

Since gear is pretty random, its kinda hard to see all of the amazing weapons, but here are some that stood out for me during my now finished campaign:

Halbered +1 stun, 1+ ap on executions, +2 stun when force strike
Hammer - it already comes with knockback, but you can get one with extra knockback and damage, this lets you periodicly either kick your enemies off the cliffs, causing isntant kill, or use it to group other enemies to aoe them later.

2 Stormbolters -

1) +1 to stun, +2 stun on psishots - this one let me execute many many enemies, so useful to have a range stunner

2) Removes body part on critical hit and +50% crit when using psyblast this is absolutely OP, it works on bosses, it can be made into 100% crit allowing you to dismember enemy forces and bosses from long range, probobly the best weapon I have ever found. Its especially broken since u can "extract" seeds by shooting the body part that seed is in, letting you get Seed from range with 100% chance.

Flamethrower +45 arc + ammo - flamethrowers kinda suck, but when you can setup a firefield that lasts 3 turns and does +1 damage per 2 ammo spent with a huge arc and range thats so large your game lags... its kinda cool lol

Psilencer +4 range + 45 arc for that ammo depleating shot, absolutely insane, with your unit auto reload you can rain hell on your enemies in an insanely far range. Its actually enough to completely wipe out a group of enemies if positioned right.

Psycannon - +2 stun on the aoe, The aoe on its self does good damage, but with the stun you can actually aoe stun a whole group of guys and send in executioner to finish them of

Granades... most the granades are awesome, with the purifiers skill of +2 granade inventory, or with some tier 3 armors letting you carry +2 granades +2 area of effect, you can literally nuke areas of the map with your granades, most tier 3 granads cause 4 damage and inflict a nasty aflictions, with tier 3 combat grandae having 7 damage and knockbak, one that causes insanity is proobly best since whole enemy group just kills each other instead of you. There are dozen different granades and with right build they are very op. By the way the range and ammo increases work for stun granade making them go from 0.5 area of effect to 1.5 with just purifiers innate skill.

Alot of these also come with an affliction, like weakness, crazy, vulnerabilty and such and are all tier 3, I played on ruthless so i often chose gear that lets me stun or crowd control rather than just pure damage, I have seen some with very high damage potential i didnt pick, weapons are definitely this games strength and variety is very high.

Stun is usless and needs an overhaul. You have hit a enemy like 7? times to stun them while the same enemy barly can endure 3-4 hits. This is not only hard to reach, you lose like 4 ap for the same single enemy. Do the math.

Sir you are misunderstanding me and no stun still had it's use Just use Iron Arm from a APO and you got a 3 stun melee attack. Sure they nerfed APO to the ground but the skill still works.

No need to be emotional. On the +stun weapons it just what it is. I never had the pleasure of rolling a +stun weapon in all my legendary campaigns. Can't say anything about them because I never had the rng to adquire one. Thus critting with Iron Arm is a 4stun attack.

Thats not true.
Stun is very usefull, especially on weapons, bolters or libby aoe stun.

My Chaplain had a bolter with +1 stun (+3 with psibolt) and my Interceptor had a hammer with +1 stun(+3 force strike).
That racks up the executions going pretty quick.

Who is emotional?

Stun weapons are also weaker. And as we learnd in this game more damage has always priority.

Where are you getting new weapons? Only other weapons in my inventory aside from the starting ones are from twitch drops. I played like 5 - 6missions and haven't got anything like that .
Gamle May 18, 2022 @ 10:53am
My setups:

Justicars - Psicannon/Halberds
Interceptors - Hammers or falchions
Purifiers - Swords

Chaplain - Crozius
Libby - Sword

I never deviated from that because I always felt it fits the lore the best.

I thought so too until everyone here was upset about the nerf, so then i tried it anyway and stun builds can still be OP, you can get 5-10 AP a turn on each unit chaining executions

Weapons/armor ect come in the end of a mission , you can choose what you want and pay requisition for it .
first they all tier 1 but after every grand master conversation you have the chance to upgrade the armory up to tier 5 fir a higher chance of better rewards .
