Beginner Tips
Didn't see a thread so sharing a few tips from playing on Ruthless and finding it fairly easy. Not saying this is optimal strategy, but enjoying the game with only the bosses being challenging:

1) When your squad encounters the enemy, from previously being out of combat, your action points automatically reset. As such, a common tactic is moving the squad to the edge of the fog of war and then triggering the fight. Having all 4 Grey Knights with full AP in range to use usually mean you can wipe out the enemy there and then. By knowing this, you can also complete a mission with fairly few rounds passing (e.g. chaining fights to move across the map).

2) Don't be afraid to spam grenades at the start. When fighting cultists and plague bearers I find most kills come from grenades and flamethrowers. Once the enemy becomes armoured, I do start to ditch these tools.

3) Getting a servo-extractor skull as an early / 3rd tech makes collecting seeds easy. I personally haven't bothered with stratagems (the left tech tree). Maybe this will cost me in the long run.

4) This might screw me up in the long run but I rushed: a) warp engines to ensure I can always do at least 2 out of 3 of the bloom missions; and b) the faster healing (logic being using fewer, more experienced brothers also saves requisition and builds XP on a concentrated group).

5) Always take the optional mission and (in my opinion) don't bother using requisition until getting to tier 3 wargear. Currently floating 20+ points at all times. Appreciate for this one hoarding may feel like a waste, so not saying it's optimal just I like picking and choosing the best gear and when needed a t5+ brother not a t1 brother.

6) Specialise brothers (even the same class can have multiple strong builds) and don't be afraid to send a brother back if they rolled bad skills.

7) Cowardice is ok - if you're waiting for the teleportarium and overwhelmed just run away. If you're moving at max AP then the enemy (as slow Nurgle) can't catch you.

Hope this helps and add your own if you agree / disagree!

8) As one final tip: grenades can knock enemies off maps, destroyed bridges will kill enemies and tipping towers can kill even high level enemies.

also can recommend Justicar with +AP boost to others, then have one melee guy with a teleport ability to kill every single mob from your rear, while you focus fire others one-by-one. Melee is super useful, but to my opinion only when combined with teleport+AP boost, killing 1-2 plague marines per turn slaps rly good.

2. Don't spam grenades in attempt to get rid of enemy overwatch. Always try to get rid of them in other means. Those grenades really come in handy near the end of missions to make stuff easier when annoying plague marines go into overwatch.

4...yes you screwed yourself long term...

I went with the route to get the Reactor to Tier 3 asap. Along the way also get the upgrades that reduce construction time twice. Get the upgrades to get a free servitor every 5 day. Along the way get 1 barracks upgrade and 1 other. Up to this point only do missions that give Servitors as reward.

Once you got that setup research Servitor Skull so you can get 5-9 seeds per mission. Get ship upgrade for additional grimoires for faster research speed at this point. And also get more speed upgrades on your ship so you can do multiple missions per bloom sequence.

Then expand as your needs require.

Right click to back out of menus / screens is a time saver!
(saw this in tips video from ItalianSpartacus)

Ok thanks - will see how it goes. You get so many servitors from missions it hasn't been an issue but appreciate it might be about to ramp-up! Just got the second upgrade for servitors every 5-days.

You don't need to beeline for servo-extractor if you spec into Auto-crit abilities with the Knights.

Melee has the hammer auto-crit, while purgators have Astral Shot. Both are 100% crit chance, so as long as you can get a hit you've got the seed extracted. You auto succeed if you one-hit-kill crit kill them from what I can see.

Later on also build prognosticars, but don't deploy them until the corruption on a planet is near max. When you deploy a prognosticar, with some other upgrades, will reduce the corruption as well. Just like satelites in xcom.
