Try DXVK for better performance

I did some quick testing with DXVK and it gives me almost 10 extra fps. Check the top left:

In order to use it download DXVK here:
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v1.10.1

Open the rar file and extract d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll from the x64 folder into your main Chaos Gate installation folder.

I don't know why this post is getting no reply, this is lifesaver and should have been done by the devs. Just put it on the folder where the game exe file is located, and amount of random fps drop on my game have been dramatically decreased.

That's what DXVK is, it makes DirectX games run in Vulkan.

EDIT: Totally forgot about this, just tried and it didnt make a difference for me. Dont know if some specific settings are required. Extracted the files to same folder as the chaosgate.exe. It looks like it made some log files but performance didnt change. On a 6700k and 3060

Yes, but why is it worse for me then? I've re-downloaded several times and moved the 2 files. Unfortunately, it doesn't go well without better. Or am I doing something wrong?

I don't know, the same thing happened when people used it with Elden Ring. Some had higher fps and less stuttering, others had worse fps.

Ah ok, maybe it has something to do with the cpu, since I have 10 cores (i9 10850k) and vulkan is low lvl api. But thank you for your effort, it will certainly help some. I hope they patch this soon. When I use this spread shot they drop to 15 fps. It's the hardest. I don't know if they can even get a handle on it. Otherwise I'll load gears tactics or xcom 2 again. thank you again

I've linked your post in my guide if that's ok. There seems to be 2 solutions now, one for amd and one for intel cpus... Interesting that both bring about + 15 fps.

Where is the guide? I don't see it under Chaos Gate Daemonhunters guides or in your profile.
