ABRAMS TURRET MEASURMENTS AND SHAPE ARE WRONG

the dimensions of the turret are incorrect. the right side of the turret of a real Abrams has a different angle to the armor to accomodate the gunner position. this makes the turret asymetrical. this offsets the gun mantlet and allows the main gun to be centered with the hull (the main gun is offset to the left on the mantlet). in game, the turret is symetrical. this causes the gun to be slightly off center due to the mantlet being modeled as it is in real life.

has anyone else noticed this? maybe its just because I have experience with the Abrams and notice these things. it seems like the Abrams model is overdue for an update.

many if not all that haven't already got an update are due for that.

Immediately jumped into my eyes when visiting the armory the first time.
Most people not aware of the unsymmetrical shape of the real M1 Turret.

It is very odd to me, but maybe it was intentional, because it is really hard to find blueprints or models which don't account for this detail.

i hope they fix this in the end, they are french and i suppose they do not have abrams at home to inspect.

Most of the starting models were very quickly made. They are currently redoing the pact divisions and will do nato when they get pact done.
