Dear players,
We're aware of the blackscreen/freeze issue that's been plaguing the games since the last Warno update.
We don't know the root cause at the moment, several engineers are currently working on it.
The black screen is actually the operating system terminating and reloading the graphic driver. In some cases, this doesn't succeed, the PC then completely freezes, and must be hard-rebooted.
The problem has been mainly affecting NVidia RTX graphic cards. We've been trying to reproduce the issue on many cards (AMD and NVidia), we only managed to reproduce it on RTX cards.
We also had some rare cases of black screen on AMD cards, but they were on GNU/Linux+Proton+dxvk. Which means: different OS, different driver, different graphic API. The likelihood for this to be the same issue between NVidia and AMD is extremely low. The symptom looks the same, but any severe error in a driver will cause this symptom.
In the meantime, **we highly recommend to upgrade your drivers**, especially the NVidia driver (which has been **updated in the last days**, with a highly unusual amount of fixes, many of them mentioning black screens).
We can assure you we are doing our best to solve that issue, which is our priority at the moment, and can only apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.
Thank you again for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Eugen Systems Team
i understand and i am not trying to be rude or anything but i payed for game full price and not just that i bought the expansion to because i love the game and i support the devs but this bug is now game breaking now the game fully freeze and i cant play the game and this bug is since 17.04 and today is 01.05 again not to be rude but other games would have either fixed the bug or returned to the previous version so whats the hold up
i am trying to play the game i payed to play not to wait not everyone has the time to wait
and the nvidia update i updated it even fully fresh download the driver ( by uninstalling the old one ) and still the same so again whats the hold up.
Right now we can only wait.
Does the single player crash/freeze as well?
NVIDIA released an update today (576.28). I downloaded it and installed. Unfortunately, the crash occurred on my first game of WARNO. So evidently that didn't fix the problem. :|
ya i have the same driver its annoying that i want to play that game but i cant because they either they dont want to fix the bug or they want to fix it in the next big patch which its annoying because not everyone has the time
I am certain they wish to fix the bug. I suspect that the bug is simply either not their own, or highly complex to fix.
time is not something to waste or joke around
Isn't it more productive to go play something else until the issue is fixed?
EUG is indie, not AAA, so the timeline for fixes isn't weeks, but usually months.
Meanwhile isn't it better to let those, who can play the game, play the newer version to get data for balance changes?
Don't you have games other than WARNO to play?
I do realise I'm speaking from a position of privilege, since I can play WARNO with minimal problems (for now). Probably due to my older setup so the crash/freeze problem doesn't affect me for some reason.
no because i fking payed for this game and just like any other player who payed for this is intitled to fking play it not o these people can play it and the others are not allowed because this is a newer version who only works for a certain type of people
and yes they could have fking rerolled the fking version so people can fking play the game normaly while they fix there problem plus how is this an indie game with that price tag?
like who are you lying to ?
Maybe they were AA in the past, when working with publishers and had a team of ca 60 people, but not after the 2018 (I think it was) strike, that resulted in half the team leaving.
They have decided that they don't even have the time or priority to fix their official website along with the official forums on that website.
And this is the kind of a game studio you're expecting AAA level decisions and timelines from? Just because of the game's price tag?
You're sowing your own disappointment with such expectations, my friend.
You still didn't answer my previous question:
Does the single player also crash/freeze?
Does your game still freeze/crash in single player?
yes in every of gameplay
