The NORTHAG and planned SOUTHAG expansions are costlier, adding more divisions/countries and single player stuff, which may or may not interest you.
… if we’re talking about multiplayer, it’s slightly different in campaign
You could argue the realism of maybe Close Combat or Combat Mission. But WARNO?
Especially without mods?
Beach please.
That doesn't mean the game is bad. It's really good. Just not realistic.
Note the difference between a game that is called a 'Realistic RTS', and the games you listed, which are Military Simulators.
WARNO is a realistic RTS, as the level below this is games akin to C&C series, Age of Empires, and so on, aka Traditional RTS games. WARNO presents the ability to combined arms operations in a realistic capacity without making it tedious, aka what a simulator is designed for. Combat is realistic for the scale basically.
He did NOT say that WARNO was realistic, what he did say was "I've played all realistic military RTS games I could find and this is the one for me."
He bundled them all into one category - a category, which is actually more or less defined, by the makers and sellers.
Calling these games "realistic" is definitely not something that @Walpatine started, so why blame him? He, at least, answered the OP's question, which you didn't.
What were you hoping to achieve by calling him a silly beach?
WARNO is a game, first and foremost, they all are. No game is realistic, arguing about whether it is, or isn't, is (really silly) such a waste of energy, why even start on it?
If you want realistic, there are any one of a number of conflicts around the world, get a ticket, most of them will be happy for a new volunteer.
No need to get so angry man.
Why didn't I answer OP's question? I actually kind of did - I said it's a good game.
Whether it's enough for him to buy it, it's up for him. Some people like good games, but some like good games that tick \ check very specific boxes and some people are very particular about that. That's why people tend to get nitpicky, esp. on that realism thing.
For $59.92 you can get the gold bundle including the game plus expansion pass, which includes NORTHAG, the upcoming SOUTHAG and the two Nemesis DLCs.
Decent mods out there, Game tries to have authentic combined arms.
It doesnt try to be fully realistic combat sim though (Armored brigade 2 would be my go to for that).
There is no planet where Warno would not be included in a list of Realistic RTSs
